    DAY 01: Madrid
    Upon arrival at Madrid Airport, you will be transferred to your hotel. Remainder of day at leisure or if you arrive early enough, you can visit on your own the flea market that has everything from upmarket antiques to shabby-chic treasures, or for those who love chocolate should consider stopping for a cup of dark, hot chocolate and enjoy the churros donuts perfect for dunking.

    DAY 02: Madrid
    Today, you will visit panoramically some of Madrid’s main avenues and monumental fountains (Cibeles, Neptuno), as well as the famous and always busy Plaza Mayor (main square) and old town. Balance of day at leisure or visit on your own the Prado Museum where you can view works by the great Spanish masters El Greco, Velazquez and Goya, and the Magnificent Royal Palace.

    DAY 03: Madrid
    Today, we will travel to Toledo, a fortified city dating from Roman times. Inhabited at times by Romans, Visigoths and Arabs, Toledo was conquered by the kings of Castile in 1085. It was also the capital of Spain and the royal residence in the XIII century, during this period, Muslim, Jews and Christians populations lived together peacefully turning it as a great cultural and monumental center. We will enjoy walking along its narrow streets where the history can be felt in the air. In the afternoon, you can visit on your own the Cathedral, the church of Santo Tome which houses El Greco painter’s masterpiece “The burial of Count Orgaz” and the Synagogue. Return to Madrid.

    DAY 04: Madrid-Valencia
    Transfer independently to the train station to board your high speed train to Valencia.
    Located in a fertile terrain and with a soft Mediterranean weather, it is surrounded by a rich orchard (its oranges are famous worldwide) and full of splendid public gardens. It was recovered for the Christian kingdom in the middle age by the mythic El Cid. Remainder of day at leisure, or visit on your own the Gothic Cathedral, where the bell tower called ‘Micalet’ is the symbol of the town, or La Lonja (XVth exchange market) and the old market are also very unique. Also within a close proximity, is the Ciudad de Las Artes y las Ciencias (city of Sciences and Arts), a must visit sight.

    DAY 05: Valencia – Barcelona
    This day, catch up on your own on any sights you still want to see, and then transfer independently to the train station for your high speed train to Barcelona (Euromed)

    DAY 06: Barcelona
    Today we will explore this vibrant city. We will walk to the Gothic Quarter full of XII to XVIth century buildings, visiting inside the Cathedral. We will visit panoramically the ‘Ensanche’, quarter built in XIXth century where we will see the La Sagrada Familia church as well as many of the Modernism buildings. And of course, walk along the always alive Ramblas street, full of street actors, musicians and painters. Balance of day at leisure or visit on your own the Boqueria, perhaps the finest food market in all of Europe.

    Transfer independently to Barcelona Airport.
