    Classic Plus Rate Excludes:

    Contract fee is R50, Deliver and /or Collection within 25 km radius R220 and beyond 25km R220 plus R10/km, (After office hours, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays R420 is charged). One Way drop off fee R750, Traffic Fine Handling Fee R220, Claim Handling fee R550, An additional driver charge of R220 and a young driver surcharge of R165 per driver per day will be charged locally where applicable. GPS available at R69 per day, rentals are subject to an excess of R1500 in the event of loss or damage.

    Saturday arrivals are used as a guideline for this package, however, daily arrivals are available. Our Destination Specialists can provide you with a price for your preferred arrival date.

    DAY 01: SAT - On arrival at Johannesburg Airport make your way to Domestic Departures and connect with your flight to Port Elizabeth. On arrival in Port Elizabeth you will be met by a representative of FIT Tours who will run through your program with you, and present you with a detailed travel digest outlining property to property route descriptions and points of interest along the way. You will also be assisted with the collection of your rental vehicle.

    Continue your journey eastwards to the Amakhala Game Reserve your home for the next 3 nights. The journey is around 1 hour and will take you into a whole new world in which Africa’s large game is abundant. You will arrive just in time for lunch and a chance to relax before your late afternoon / evening open vehicle game drive with your experienced game ranger in search of Africa ’s wildlife. After sundowner drinks in the bush continue your drive with the aid of a powerful spotlight to search for the savannah’s nocturnal game. Return to the lodge for a hearty dinner. Overnight in a standard room on a full board basis at Bush Lodge.(L/D)

    DAY 02: SUN - Your morning and evening game drives, with the services of rangers through Amakhala Game Reserve, will leave you in awe of the diverse vegetation and spectacular scenery which abounds here. The reserve is home to a wide variety of game including the famous “Big 5” – elephant, lion, rhino, buffalo and leopard, as well as many other species including giraffe, zebra, wildebeest and cheetahs. During the mid day relax at the lodge and soak up the views over the floodplains as you revel in being in the midst of pure nature. Overnight in a standard room on a full board basis at Bush Lodge.(B/L/D)

    DAY 03: MON - Another day of morning and evening game drives. Overnight in a standard room on a full board basis at Bush Lodge.(B/L/D)

    DAY 04: TUE - After one final morning game drive and a hearty breakfast it will be time for you to retrace your tracks towards Port Elizabeth. You will bypass Port Elizabeth and make your way along the National Road (N2) in the direction of Plettenberg Bay and Knysna. We suggest you stop en route at Storms River Mouth. Continue towards Plettenberg Bay. Knysna is a further 30 minutes from Plettenberg Bay.

    Waterfront Lodge is a 4-star guest house situated on the edge of the Knysna lagoon. They serve a leisurely continental buffet and a full English breakfast. The property offers you indulgence in the exquisite bird life of the area and breathtaking views of the Knysna Heads as you enjoy the deck. The refreshing swimming pool awaits you, or enjoy the sauna, deck jacuzzi, games room and home gym. They also offer Swedish body massage and reflexology by arrangement. Ample parking inside the property. They are in close proximity to the Waterfront Knysna Quays. Overnight in a standard room on a bed and breakfast basis at Waterfront Lodge.(B)

    DAY 05: WED - Enjoy the day to explore the surrounding area renowned for its natural beauty. Explore the magnificent beaches and enchanting indigenous forests, or take a cruise on the lagoon to visit the Featherbed Nature Reserve, or visit Monkeyland for a walk in the wilds with a large variety of primates. However, if you want to chill, why not just sit at the edge of the lagoon and sample some of Knysna’s famous oysters with glass of great South African sparkling wine! Overnight in a standard room on a bed and breakfast basis at Waterfront Lodge.(B)

    DAY 06: THU - Today continue your journey through Wilderness, George and then to Oudtshoorn which is the capital of the Klein Karoo. Oudtshoorn is situated at the foot of the majestic Swartberg Mountain range. Numerous rivers, streams and falls have their origins in the Swartberg, Outeniqua and Kamanassie ranges around the town. However, the town is most famous for its feathered inhabitants, ostriches. This is the undisputed capital of the ostrich and there are some 400 farms in the area a few of which are now designated “show farms” where you can visit the farms and get an idea of the life of this feathered giant. In addition do not miss the chance to visit the spectacular Cango Caves, one of the world’s greatest cave complexes with extraordinary displays of stalactites and stalagmites to captivate even the most weary traveler.

    The Thorntree Country House in Klein Karoo, South Africa is the perfect base from which to explore the unique attractions of this area. The Country House is situated on the route to the Cango Caves, the Swartberg Pass and the circle route to Prince Albert via Meiringspoort. It is also within easy reach of the Cango Ostrich Farm and Cango Wildlife Ranch. The homestead and outbuildings date back to the 1800's and reflect the typical Klein Karoo architectural style. They have been gracefully restored to their original splendour, and equipped with all modern conveniences. Our dining room reflects our warmth and hospitality, and overlooks the sparkling swimming pool. The picturesque Schoemanshoek Valley provides a breathtaking backdrop.

    DAY 07: FRI - From here make your way on the R62 route to Cape Town, South Africa’s “Mother City” and regarded by many as one of the most beautiful cities in the world. The Redbourne Hilldrop Guesthouse is set in Oranjezicht on the upper slopes of Table Mountain, and boasts stunning views of Cape Town and the harbor as well as the mountain. Overnight in a standard room on a bed and breakfast basis at the Cape Cadogan Hotel.(B)

    DAY 08: SAT - Highlights that should not be missed include a journey around the magnificent Cape Peninsula to the Cape of Good Hope, a trip up Table Mountain for unsurpassed views of the city and beyond and a trip to Robben Island for a poignant look into South Africa’s troubled past and inspiration of hope for a bright future.

    This wonderful city lies in the shadow of Table Mountain and at the shores of the Atlantic Ocean offering a spectacular array of natural wonders from large seal colonies and irresistibly cute colonies of penguins to the worlds smallest but richest floral Kingdom.

    The city is also a hub of activity for those in search of gourmet restaurants or stylish nightlife, not to mention cutting edge fashion and design with a distinct African touch. Overnight in a standard room on a bed and breakfast basis at the Cape Cadogan Hotel.(B)

    DAY 9: SUN - After breakfast spend the morning at the V&A Waterfront for some last minute shopping before you make your way to Cape Town Airport for your flight to Johannesburg and return flight home.(B)
